Gold Medal Safety Padding (GMSP) has been in business globally for 40 years (2013), we have been installing seclusion room safety padding in the USA, Australia, Singapore, The Middle East, France and in the UK & Ireland.
Over that time GMSP has been asked to replace numerous safety padding products or ‘adapted’ products because they proved to be unfit for their environments, see photographs below.
‘Adapted’ Seclusion Room Padding Deficiencies.
The main problems we see for seclusion room padding clients & patients are:
- Adapted safety padding systems ultimately, don’t protect the needs of the patient, as they should.
- Seclusion rooms are rendered unusable for long periods of time. In some cases, seclusion rooms when repaired may take up to 60 days to cure or become usable again.
- Constantly repairing seclusion room padding, quickly becomes a very costly process.
Gold Medal Safety Padding Features.
GMSP is highly resilient product, they are no ligature points and it withstands attempts to rip, gouge, or otherwise damage. GMSP is a specified product in prisons & hospitals and is the preferred choice in new builds. Additionally, it can be installed in any existing seclusion room and can fit any style of room.
In the unlikely event that a small portion of a panel/room becomes damaged, the safety padded room can be usable within 24 hours. This is a latent feature but a significant advantage for our seclusion room clients.
